EonicWeb is a website content management platform provided by Eonic Ltd. It is a robust and flexible system that provides for a managed codebase with a regular update programme. It provides for flexible templating of individual website designs using XSLT.

It is delivered on a MS .Net platform and makes use of Microsoft SQL server for data management. This makes it an ideal option for integrating with backoffice systems, the majority of which have very mature methods for talking to MS SQL. It can be provided on a range of licences to provide commercial protection for the IP in any bespoke features. 

EonicWeb makes use of the W3C standard for Xforms, allowing advanced forms to be created, managed and skinned easily.

OpenQuote

OpenQuote is written in Java and delivered on a JBoss application server using JBoss Portal and Alfresco for configuration file document management. OpenQuote and its dependant technologies are fully opensource.

OpenQuote makes use of MySQL for it’s data management and makes the product quotation process available to the EonicWeb front-end via WSRP (Web Services for Remote Portlets). Snippets of HTML are delivered and consumed by websites, using SOAP, and handles form response back.

Openquote have enabled WSRP to output in xForm format to enable the forms and processes to be easily consumed and re-skined within EonicWeb. Each Quote process initiates a tandem “eCommerce” shopping cart within EonicWeb to provide full reporting of incomplete quote processes within EonicWeb.

The OpenQuote functionality is delivered by way of an Overload on EonicWeb allowing bespoke client modifications where nessesary, and also enabling continuing upgrades to EonicWeb without risk of introducing errors.
